Hosting
Thanks for your interest in being hosted at Periphrasis.net. Please read the following carefully, and give me a buzz if you think you're up to it. ^_^
[ Rules ]
I'm not going to be very picky about who I may host, so feel free to apply even if you don't have much confidence in your webdesign (besides, no one can be worse than me... XD). However, I would appreciate if these following criterias would be met:
- Substantial HTML/CSS — You don't have to be an uber expert, but an aesthetically pleasing page and valid HTML is required (so as long as don't blind the eye, it should be fine).
- Know FTP — This will be how you'll upload your files (and really, it's very easy to learn if you don't know it already).
- Quality content — Is highly regarded and favoured. Pornographic/homophobic/sexist/racist/plagiarised content is not.
- Proper English — Please do not tyPe lYkE diS. No 1337 either please. I like being able to distinguish my letters from my numbers.
- Keep in contact — It'll be nice if we could remain in contact (via MSN and whatnot), and I certainly won't appreciate it if you decide to suddenly disappear without notice...
- Link to Periphrasis — Just a little button or line to show you're a part of this network.
[ Subjects ]
I would be happy to host any kind of subject (within appropriate limits, of course) your site is based upon, and here's an idea of the types of sites I'd like to host:
- Writing sites — I would love to host your material!
- Music specific sites — Especially if they're about Classical/Art Music.
- Artistic/creative sites — Also highly favoured.
- Fanlistings/fanlisting collectives
- Personal sites
- Blogs
- Shrines/informative sites
- Image galleries
- Mp3 rotations
[ Goodies ]
If you're hosted, you'll get:
- http://yoursite.periphrasis.net/ or http://periphrasis.net/yoursite/
- 100MB space — More/less if you want. I'm lenient. ^_^
- 1GB bandwith — Again, more/less as required.
- Email — yourname@periphrasis.net, which can be redirected to another email address.
- MySQL, PHP, CGI, etc — MySQL database would be set up upon request.
- Visitor statistics — if/when requested.
- No ads/banners/popups.
- Technical help — Provided it's not beyond me. XD
