Domain
This section contains some information relating to Periphrasis.net, and I hope you'll enjoy the reading. Perhaps you'll even learn something new! (Like how Tchaikovsky's birthday is on the 7th May ^_^)
[ History ]
Insanely bored and not wanting to study for my university entrance exams, the ever-impulsive side of me kicked in on the 11th October 2005, resulting in the purchase of this domain. It took me awhile to work on it, and I actually started off concentrating on my fanlisting collective before the domain itself. ^_^; This was "officially" released on the 9th December, 2005. I am happily hosted by DreamHost, which I highly recommend for their service and affordable prices. If you're interested in joining them, contact me for a discount. ^_^
[ Name ]
periphrasis (puh-RIF-ruh-sis) - noun
This word was first introduced to me by my friend Lena, and I consider myself to subconsciously use the method in everyday life in terms of my speech and ways of expression (which is unfortunately not so good for those English essays). It is also the technique I should not employ when encountering most of the personal events in my life...

[ Layout ]
'Opus' is a terminology used to number music compositions which I have replaced 'version' with, and there's sometimes a number attached to the number (e.g. op. 32, no. 10) to indicate the a different piece in a set of musical compositions. Op. 2 was whipped up within an hour, because I thought I needed a layout change from the previous minimalistic layout. The photo used was actually part of the stage for the musical Pippin, as it was produced and performed by my former high school.
This current layout features a photo that I had taken at my former high school's production of the musical Pippin. This site has been created with ConTEXT Programmers Editor and Adobe Photoshop, and is powered by PHP, with compliments of CodeGrrl.
